Career Service

Your concern is our challenge!

The Career Service offers comprehensive services for students and graduates of Cologne University of Applied Sciences with the aim of providing support through targeted counselling, information and event offerings for aligning one's personal situation with the requirements of the jobs market.

Often a first academic degree is just a basic qualification to which one must add various vocational skills in order to be able to work in one's profession.

Identifying these conditions and recommending and offering appropriate measures and events is the responsibility of the Career Service.

Co-operation with the Career Service

For performing its tasks, the Career Service needs to establish regional, national and international contacts and co-operate with employers. For this purpose it must cover a preferably wide range of the fields of business, industry, the media, etc.
As a module for the university-to-workplace interface, the Career Service wants to offer students of all departments individual advice for personal career planning, career starter seminars, business contact fairs, company presentations and lectures by practitioners and similar projects.

Moreover, a decentralised alumni network offers students and graduates the opportunity of keeping in touch with the university and former fellow students.
