Institute of Information Management (IIM)
The Institute of Information Management (IIM) was founded in 1997 as a cross-departmental central scientific institute of Cologne University of Applied Sciences according to s. 25 (2) of the University of Applied Sciences Act for the federal state of North Rhine Westphalia. In the context of the university's restructuring and the installation of departments, the IIM was integrated in the Department of Information and Communication Science as a research institute (Department 03) in 2001.
The IIM's mission is to prepare, implement and co-ordinate research, development and counselling projects in the field of information management.
Its goal is to focus research activities within the department both organisationally and spatially, make them transparent and take advantage of synergies.
