During this international M.A. programme, students study at each of the partner universities in Germany, China, Poland and the USA. Besides Cologne University of Applied Science the following partner universities are responsible for organising the course: The programme starts every winter semester. Each partner university admits a maximum of 10 students per year with the exception of Dongbei University in China, which admits 5 students yearly. The programme is divided into four trimesters and takes approximately 15 months (including examinations). All lectures are in English, regardless of the place of study. Students who have successfully passed all obligatory modules and completed an M.A. thesis will be awarded the Master of Arts in International Management and Intercultural Communication by Cologne University of Applied Sciences and UW, the Master of Business Administration by the UNF and a certificate by DUFE. The programme is intended to qualify students for all aspects of international management as well as for academic research. The course takes account of the fact that today professional-level international management skills must include intercultural skills. For this reason, the programme has two main purposes as its name indicates: firstly to qualify for international management and secondly to provide expertise in the theory and practice of intercultural communication. The latter is particularly enhanced by studying at universities in different countries and being in an international cohort of students. In addition, students will acquire competence in international accounting and financial management as well as cultural studies. During the M.A. thesis the acquired skills can be optimally used to apply electronic research tools and analyse economic data. Graduates holding a bachelor degree, master degree or a German university diploma can apply for the programme. They have to provide evidence of the following:
    • Sound knowledge of economics and world politics

    • Knowledge of the different cultures DE, CN, PL and the US

    • Excellent command of English (e.g. proven by a TOEFL test, minimum score: 560 (paper-based), 220 (computer-based), 83 (internet-based))

    • American Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT), minimum score: 500

    • Graduate Record Examinations test (GRE), minimum score 1000
